I've got heaps to tell today LOL. Dunno where to start first lol.
Oh, i wanna change my powerbook G4 to MacBook Pro, but my parents told me to buy iMac (cos it's desktop) instead of (another) notebook. I was thinking if I could actually exchange this to the new macbook pro, but then I realized this is kinda old now, like almost 2 years and no more guarantee. I doubt they can do that for me, if they could that'd be awesome xD but dunno, I have to save up some money (yay cash $$) but I sometime hate my job. Low salary, one of the manager is totally a bitch, and some people (workers) that always do bossy and stuff.

I was working yesterday and this girl (she's like 4 or 5 years younger than me) ALWAYS screaming at me when I made mistakes. I personally HATE drive thru, cos: I can't listen to the costumer (not clearly) and it's winter now; damn cold.
For example, I was too busy listening and talking (to the customer) and pushing the button at the same time and I couldn't really concentrate what did they actually want, so I REPEATED. She screamed at me saying (for example),"WHOPPER WITH CHEESE IN A MEAL!" and I was like, damn you dont have to yell at me. OMG there are heaps of them, it's just one of the simplest "yell" that she made. Man I know you've been working there since you were younger, but you should also respect others.
I hope I can get another job, but like others said you can't get any job that you imagine. I mean like even when you get another job, you'll find some bitches like them, especially the managers.
At least i could get a better salary.

Anyway, I went to solid07 and found that Indonesia will go to the 2006 miss universe (again). At first I felt nothing special about this, cos hey what do you expect from this? Bikini, bikini and bikini. That's what they always make fuss about it. Grow up people, I know that some of you think about indo with the eastern culture (eastern isn't it? correct me if i'm wrong). But can't you judge people not only from their........... bikini?
I checked the picture and I looked at Indonesia. She's absolutely stunning, even some of the people in solid07 said she's pretty. Then I started to search some more information about this 'gal'.

The name is Nadine Chandrawinata, apparently she's a Miss Indonesia 2005 (or 2004? I forget). She's halfie, her mum is Germany and her dad is Indo.
THEN I checked miss universe website and FOUND her.
I THOUGHT (because she's halfie (without thinking that she's half GERMANY)) she's good at english (miss universe.. UNIVERSE.. duh!), but seriously at first when I saw the video I was laughing because.. LOL just have a look. I don't mean to underestimate Indo, but they were better last year. who's the name? I cant remember, begins with A, Artika? Arista? Ugh. I totally forget.

I really want to support Indo.
But after I watched this video, I said to myself,"GODAMN, I thought she's halfie, she supposed to has good english."
Then I checked (again lol) and realised she's germany lol omg i'm so slow. shut up lol.
People in the forum also said that when she was on the miss indo last year, she didn't actually good in communicate with others, even in her own language.
She's been learning English (proper one with natives) since about 3 months (lol) but it seems that she hasn't got any progress from that. Might be a little, not much.
Like others said in the forum, you can't actually learn foreign language unless you go to the country where everyone speak the language.
So basically there's no use to study abroad if your community use your own language and you never speak with foreign language.
I still hope she's getting better, but the thing is the show will be on this month (i guess). DANG it's ARTIKA lol, last year finalist from Indonesia lol.

I can't be bothered translating the article, but basically they said for international competition like miss universe, you need a good english.but unfortunately she goes to miis universe with such a poor english. She said Indonesia as a city, not a country. But they said it might be because she was a bit nervous.

Hmmm.. Nokia 6280.. 3G mobile.

by 3G mobile.. again!

Yea, I was going to disconnect my 3G mobile and changed to Optus..
I was about to disconnect it at that time, but I didn't bring my ID (LOL, why am I supposed to bring my passport all the time?) so I said I'll be back the next morning.. Then I called my bf bla bla bla, at first he didn't help me at all. sigh. but yea, anyway, then I realized Optus is so damn expensive. They got the same model, N 6280, but with different price.. A lot different! Especially with the cap that they got there.
So I went to 3G the next morning and asked them about this, and they said I can "upgrade" my old phone to nokia 6280, but it means I'll get another 2 years contract.
But as you know, this 3G mobile is simply cheaper than optus, I don't know about the other mobile phone company (tiffany told me vodafone plan is the cheapest one, but I don't wanna join vodafone.. why? dunno. lol) though.

and CRAP! I need to resubmit my essay LOL.

Mac vs PC?

Firstly, I'd like to thank Oen for the comments about mac.
Please note, if one or more paragraph sounds offended for you, please feel free to make comments. I don't want someone just talking shit behind my back, that's why I really appreciated her for making comments about something, even this thing called .. machine.
Why I'm doing this? cos some people insulting mac user, or the mac itself just because for some silly reason.

I hope you read this Nesci and Mason.. and other ppl that I know.

I know that some of you (like 70%?) are a windows-user.
BUT PLEASE if you want to make a comment.. THINK first. I don't want people just send me an e-mail or comments saying "Mac sucks." and that's it. EXPLAIN everyone, explain.
And I don't want to judge between mac and windows. I'll give the minus and plus for each. But if I sounds more preferebly to mac, then it means I really mean it.

I love technology,
and YES I love Mac.
You can ask my friends and my boyfriends that I really into Apple product.
I used to be a windows freak.. ages ago, before I knew Apple.

But why?

Well, there's should be enough reason for explain this quetion, isn't it?
not only IS but ARE in plural. More than one reason why I like this OS (read: Operating System)

1. DESIGN.
For being honest, windows computer (the desktop or either the laptop/notebook) never made such a good design cover. When they made this good design cover for the laptop for example, you'll find this crappy hardware. Well not that crappy, but it's not worth to buy it. The price is much expensive than the motherboard/ hardware.
Ok I can hear some of you said SONY VAIO. Duh, look at the specs. They're good at the model, but not good on the inside.
What about alienware? FOR GOD'S SAKE, would you buy for some laptop/ desktop (I don't know if they got desktop comp for this anyway) that cost a lot? What I meant is........ A LOT. If you were rich, and think that's a cool stuff, well go for it. It's your money, but I ain't got that much money.

2. SMART-AS.
They'll talk to us, they'll do some stuff that you order it to do. what's this feature? It's a speech recognition.
Windows got this as well I think, not too sure. correct me if i was wrong.
I know that in mac OS X.4 aka tiger, they got this feature called Widget, which I thought (and always think) it's useless. but at least they got some cool ideas to make something.. new.
In mac, you don't need to install some language stuff, you know, like for example your computer using english as the main language. If you want to use other languages, you need to download them.. to be able to see the square fonts in your windows.
An exception if you had your own Windows original package, which I meant.. original.
But whatever it is, you need to download some stuff to get it done, or get them from the package. But it mac, you just need to click. yes. click. they provided it for us. in here. in the machine.

3. Virus Free.
I do not 100% guarantee you, it really depends on what you usually do on the net. But the percentage between mac and windows "virus free" I could say mac is like 80% virus free. If you really want to compare. Ok.
Delete your virus protection from your windows computer, compare with other Mac computers (which is obviously with no virus protection).

4. Sleep Mode, everyone?
The most thing that I love about Mac, you don't need to shut down your computer, or restart them. An exception if you left it on, means you damaged your own computer, even windows or other OS.
Just close your computer (laptop) when you finish doing your stuff. and open it straight away when you need 'em. No need to press the power button.
Hybrinate? Not it's totally different.
The same way goes to the desktop, hover the mouse/ whatever if you changed the system preference.

It sounds odd because I don't own the Apple factory (lol) but I seem like too stressful about this. Well I'm not feeling stressful, or wasn't. I just want people to STOP insulting mac for some stupid reasons, for example cos you never use it before and think that isn't user-friendly *look at some people*
It is user-friendly, just get used to it, and you'll see the difference.
I owned this machine for about a year and a half.

I supposed to post this on my bday but I wasnt at my house at that time, so I decided to post this tonight.

I was REALLY surprised and I cried bcos of my hun.
I couldn't celebrate my 21st bday bcos he had to stay at hospital, and I decided to celebrate there.

At that time I didn't know (I didn't even think about it) that he buy me some stuff for my bday. Even his mum gave me presents.
I stayed at his house the day before my bday (Tuesday night) cos his mum was going to take me to the hospital the next day.

On Wednesday morning, she (his mum) came at me and said happy bday to me. Then she gave me this baloon (look at pictures), she actually gave 2 baloons, one for me and one for michael, my bf. She told me she's going to give me present but she'll do it later on the hospital.

We went there at 9:30AM and I met my bf.
We had a bit of conversation and then his mum gave me 2 presents (they were in a paper package). I opened the first one and it was a bag from his mum. I said thanks, oh yea I like that bag, it's tiny and it's cute xD
Then I opened the second present, and it was.. a cute little dog doll. I didn't know that he's going to give me present cos he was on the hospital, and the day before he got there, he was too busy preparing with his stuff and the day before that (lol) he was with me. I cried =( cos i was really surprised and that.. He really do care about me. I love dogs, but I couldn't keep a dog in my apartment cos I'm renting, I don't own this apartment. And the "dog" was really cute xD xD it's soft and look like a real dog. I should've thank his mum too for buying the dog =p

After a bit of conversations, I went outside from the hospital with his mum to get something from her car. I went back to his room and he gave me the card. I don't want to share the words on that card cos it's only for me =) He wrote that for me and I really touched by the words that he said (wrote) on the card.. And I cried again =(

SEOUL, South Korea Mar 29, 2006 (AP)— Britney Spears' songwriters have accused a South Korean pop composer of plagiarism and are seeking damages, a music publisher said Wednesday.

Universal Music Publishing Korea, the company that handles South Korean copyrights for Spears' music, said her songwriters had complained that "Get ya," performed by Lee Hyo-lee, sounded similar to a song they wrote for the 24-year-old pop singer titled, "Do Something."

"Get ya" was the lead song on Lee's second album, which was released last month. Spears released "Do Something" in February 2005.

Kevin Cho, general manager of Universal Music Publishing Korea, said Spears' songwriters claim the Korean track had been "partially plagiarized" and the company sent their complaint to Lee's composer, Kim Do-hyun.

Cho said they were seeking a settlement of undisclosed terms, but hadn't yet received a response from Kim's side.

Kim has said he was influenced by the Spears' song, but denied copying directly from it. He wasn't immediately available for comment Wednesday.

Lee, whose sexy style has earned her prominent appearances in advertising campaigns, is staging a comeback this year with a return to live performances.

Third day of school

Okay, I decided to go to RMIT Multimedia (Apparently they changed the course name to Animation & Interactive Media) this year.
And today is my third day of school.

I was really embarassed on the first day of school.
Here's the story.

I met this guy from the other group, Rat, and we went to this class (not actually a class, it was an auditorium)
I didn't realise that some ppl that I met before was gone..
Then we went to this class and I didn't notice anyting (cos it was my first day of school and I haven't met any of my classmates)
The lecture started to talk about.. Music.. And Instrumental..
I thought, hmm So Media Culture (That was the subject's name at my timetable) is about music. Fair enough..
Then he started to talk about string.. And Violin.. Midi.. Bass -.- Drum o_O;; and this note level.

Wait..
Do we have to buy Yamaha keyboard for this course o_O;;
that's so frikkin' expensive and beside.. I know nothing about keyboard!!

I still didn't realize about it, but Rat asked me some questions (I thought he was joking lol):

R : "Are we in the right class?"
F : "Dunno.. Is this about music??"
R : "I think so."
F : "But I have NO IDEA what is he talking about!!"
R : "Me too."
F : "I know nothing about instrument!"
R : *shake head*

After 1.30 hours..
F : "So Media Culture is about music?"
R : "I don't know. But it seems weird. Look at the screen."

F : "Is this the class for multimedia?" *give the book to him*
Him : "Dunno."

Him : "This is the class for Audio Engineering!" *still laughing and tell the guy next to him that we went to the wrong class*

R : "let's not go out from this class, we'll get really embarassed if we did."
F : "OMG!" *still shocked*

Then the teached told us to have a break.

R : "Did you bring your timetable??"
F : "Yea, but it said something about 12 point something."
R : "OMG we supposed to be in bulding 12!!!"
F : "What?? So 12 means bulding 12?!"
R : "Yes.. I feel really stupid today. Let's go to library to check my timetable."

*Go to library and check his timetable*

R : "Oh yes, we supposed to go to bulding 12."
F : "Damn.."
R : "I know.. I'm embarassed too."
F : "Damnnnn...... I feel really stuuuupppppidddddd."
R : *laughs*
F : "Should we go to that bulding and go check it if they still there?"
R : "But it's almost 7PM, the class should be finished by now, or before.."
F : "Dunno, let's just check."

*Go to bulding 12*

R : "Yea, they gone already."
F : *see her watch* "It's 7PM already."
R : "Let's just go home......"
F : "You're right."

LOL, then we went home. He had to catch a train while I went back to my house at city.
OMG that was my most embarassing moment that I ever had before.
I mean.... LOL 1.5 hours in a wrong class!

I need to download it cos I don't have that program. But the teacher said something about the RAM, I don't think I have enough RAM for that application cos I'm using Notebook.
The confusing part of that subject is about learning the pixel thing.
I didn't know that in US they use NTSC for TV default setting, but in here they use PAL. Good. Cos the teacher said NTSC is more complicated to learn.
We also have to learn about TV default setting, esp the pixel.

I like the subject eventhough it's complicated.
Oh and we learned about codec, keyframe, audio sample rate.

BTW, there are only 5 girls in my class.
Me and the other Indo girl, Tiffany; Marielle; Alex (Korean) and Lena.
Cool.

The other classmates.. I can't remember their names =( But 2 of them have been working in multimedia background.. probably.

They're cool xD
and funny.

Some of them like anime, and can draw really well.

China Bans Cartoons That Blend Animation

China has announced a ban on TV shows and movies that blend animated elements with live-action actors, a move aimed at nurturing local animators and apparently curbing the use of foreign cartoons.

Besides "Roger Rabbit," the 1988 feature film in which actor
Bob Hoskins performed beside several animated characters, popular children's TV shows featuring human hosts and animated elements such as "Blue's Clues" from the United States and Britain's "Teletubbies" could be included in the ban. And "Space Jam," the 1996 film featuring basketball great
Michael Jordan alongside Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd and Daffy Duck could also be shelved.

The government's main television and film regulator sent notice Feb. 15 to broadcasters and theaters that such films and shows could no longer be shown and that violators would be punished. It did not say what the penalties would be.

It also did not give examples of banned programs but described them as "so-called cartoons that mainly feature real people and only occasionally have computer-generated elements."

Communist authorities are eager to expand the country's animation industry and also are worried about the influence of foreign pop culture on Chinese children.

The cartoon ban is intended to "promote the development and prosperity of the cartoon industry in China," said the statement issued by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television.

The broadcast administration's statement said it planned to review programs that had previously been granted licenses to make sure none of the banned programming is aired.

Phone calls to the administration's main office on Thursday weren't answered.

Japanese and Western animated programs have gained a foothold in China but the government wants to develop its own industry.

China already limits foreign cartoons on television to 40 percent of all cartoons broadcast. It has said it might ban all foreign cartoons from prime time television once the quantity and quality of domestic productions is considered adequate.

Yet foreign cartoons dubbed into Chinese are a staple on late afternoon and weekend television.

Chinese studios have taken advantage of low labor costs to build a growing business handling the labor-intensive animation of cartoons for foreign studios.

But they've had little luck building up their own brands.

There are few Chinese-made cartoons aside from a handful of traditional tales such as "Journey to the West" and some government-financed titles.

oh yeah,
I finished all of my projects, but i havent hand them in cos i have to take some to bring for my interview, which was today.

..and about he problem, it's all over. I mean, i dont need to think about it anymore, but the important thing is I HAVE to get a job, or else i'll be a nerd here, nowhere to go and (even) nowhere to live..

i had my interview for comm design this morning, and it was.. annoying.
i forgot to bring some of my works (well two actually) and both of them are 3D stuffs, not actually 3D, but the first one is a pop up books and the other one is bottle packaging. well i already print out the flat image, but i have to bring the bottle and the packaging, that's why i felt really dumb.
.. i almost late for the interview >.<

i feel sorry for mason, he didnt get the interview for comm design, but i just couldn't believe it. I mean, he got the talet ansd sorta stuff (his photoshop and flash skill are expert -_______-;;) but why?
i guess it's about luck?
or maybe because he didnt send the hand drawn, erm maybe he did, but only few i guess. right hun?

Nope.. Not ready to moved in yet because it's unfurnished so I need to buy some things.
And today I went to IKEA to buy some things like bed, dining table, study table etc.
But we just bought few things like plates, mugs etc and haven't bought the bed because we wanna see the second hand things first for the dining table, so once we got the second we'll buy those things in IKEA again. If we can't find the things we still have to buy in Ikea, well kinda expensive comparing with the second-hand of course.
Went there for about 3 hours .. err more.. LOL.. So tired and sleepy!

Well I can say that nobody's perfect, but yeah it's kinda annoying me sometimes.

Can't believe I watched 2 different movie in 4 days! Huah.. On Tuesday and today huhuhu~
Anyway, I watched War of The World and Fantasic Four, it was fantastic ;p

I didn't really know the story about the F4 (Fantastic Four.. not that gay-band) but it was fantastic (again blah..)

Did I mention that I went to Philip's Island on.. Oh I forgot, I think it was Monday..

Yes it is.
Today's so damn cold..
I didn't wanna go outside today at first, but.. suddenly (at about 9:30PM) chris told me to go to the crown to see Mr& Mrs. Smith with halley, vic and him. Hey, everybody's talking about that movie, I should see it xD
Actually, I just curious about their "affair" lol everybody does..
Well..
I like Angelina though, not only in this movie, she's such a great actress. I don't care about the gossip, Hollywood full of gossip just to raise their popularity, bla bla, she could be one of them anyway, but hell I don't care.
The movie is.. erm... quite good.. but not "that good", you know when people said like "whoa.." but not in this movie.
Maybe if they didn't have that "affair" things, the film is not really be a box-office movie. But hey, it was good though heuehue..

Anyway,
the movie started at 10:40 and finished at 12:30 but we got out from crown at about 1AM.. And.. No Tram..
So we (me, halley and vic) chris' home is in southbank, pretty close from crown but not that close~ lol chris.. you're always late remember~ jk, we walked from there to my apartment, which is about..... 7 or 8 stop (tram stop) it's not really far you know if you walk with others, because you're talking while you were walking.
But..
The weather makes it worst.
Geez..
Lucky me, I'm wearing thick jacket. But not them.
Next time, use a thicker one guys.. Hehe, well actually they didn't mean to see the movie at the first. They said that thehy just wanna go to see chris but then chris aked them to go to see Mr & Mrs. Smith.
Hm..
Still, next time bring your thicker jacket! It's winter hello? hehe jk.

In the end,
it's worthed to see that movie.

Actually I want to share all of my stories these days, but I have no time to write it all in here.. so sad..

Okay..
It's not counting down the story of these weeks (or maybe I can say month?) stories, but oh well.. so much more to say now..

- I'm gonna miss Yuko (my ex-hostmate) because she'll go back to Japan on 7th May.. Huuhuhu.. She's a nice person though..
- I lost my wallet yesterday.. Ok, I'm dumb.. I have bad memories.. *sigh*
- I have bought the multifunction scanner and printer in Officework (it's $250, quite worthed I think) --> It was long time ago anyway
- Sometimes I have no confidence with myself.. Am I fugly? Geez.. >.> Maybe it was just me, because one of my friend (can I call it as a friend if someone said like that to you?) say that I'm pretending to be cute.. But I'm not.. Ugh.. It was so like.. Aarrgghh~
- I like in Ko Vic's room because he have webcam.. lol.. jk! No la, I think I've spend my weekend in here all the time.. Haha..
- I went to the 3 days design conference in Melbourne Art Center (which I have to pay $240 for that).. but it's worthed.. I admire Shigeo Fukuda, Ahn- Sang Soo and Adam Elliot from Australia. Adam is the creator of Humper, and he got Oscar for the best short- animation clip~ Shigeo is so damn awesome!! And Sang Soo have an unique style hehe.. I like those guys!

For the last few weeks.. I always woke up late *pinch* But I enjoyed it (haha)
I started to like playing pool.. Hope that I can go there again soon, it was fun though. Dunno hy when I was in Indonesia i couldn't enjoy playing pool.. hm.

Yesterday I saw Hitch with Evelina, Chris, Ryan, Fanny, and Victor. A the first time I felt really annoyed.. Because some of our friends were late. But still. after I watched it, I couldn't understand it, dunno why.. So I asked chris to explain it to me, can't remember how many times he explained it to me.. Haha. but anyway, thx chris...
